Long Island’s largest news publisher has migrated to our latest web reader – built for listening, watching and reading.
Newsday has officially launched on PageSuite’s latest eEdition web reader – a platform built around how readers actually consume news today.
The move brings a completely refreshed interface, but the headline story is what’s underneath it: audio, video and interactive advertising built directly into the reading experience, plus a redesigned archive that makes years of editions, supplements and special sections instantly browsable.
A new way to listen to the news
Readers can now listen to a full edition top-to-bottom, or pick individual articles and queue them up to listen to later – ideal for the daily commute or any moment reading isn’t practical. It turns the eEdition into an audio product as well as a visual one, opening up an entirely new engagement occasion inside a channel publishers already control.

Video that keeps readers on the page
Rather than linking out, video is embedded natively within articles – giving readers a richer story format and giving publishers a meaningful lift in time spent per session.

Advertising that works harder
The new reader also unlocks more interactive, higher-impact ad formats, giving advertisers better-performing inventory within an environment readers already trust.
Every supplement and special edition, easy to find
Newsday’s new archive page organises current editions, classic and historic editions, and every supplement – from food, entertainment, local guides and more – into clear, browsable collections, so subscribers can always find what they’re looking for.

The result is an eEdition experience built for 2026 and beyond: one that reads, listens, plays, and sells the way modern audiences expect.
