Here’s what’s new from our latest release – a set of updates across the PageSuite platform designed to help you reach more readers, keep them engaged for longer, and manage your digital editions with greater confidence.
NEW PS Edition Reader
26.3.0
Focus: A faster, more reliable reading experience for your audience, with better data insights for your team.
Reach Readers in Their Language – Your editions can now speak your audience’s language — literally. Readers can translate any article into their preferred language directly within the reader, without ever leaving the page. It’s a simple way to make your content accessible to a broader, more diverse readership.
Give Readers Control Over Downloads – Readers of your replica editions can now choose exactly which pages they want to download, whether it’s a single story, a favourite section, or the full edition. The experience is fully accessible, supports dark mode, and works across languages.
A Smoother Reading Experience on iOS – No more frustrating zoom snap-back on iPhones and iPads. Pinch-to-zoom now feels natural and controlled, so readers stay focused on your content rather than fighting with the interface.
Seamless Ad Presentation – When a digital ad slot is unfilled, it now blends cleanly into the page background instead of showing a distracting grey box – keeping your edition looking polished at all times.
Key Tools Stay Within Reach – On smaller screens, your readers will always see the most important toolbar actions first. We’ve improved how icons prioritise on compact displays, so features like the ‘Archive’ button stay visible, and the mobile menu works exactly as expected.
A Natural Reading Flow to the Last Page – When your edition’s final page stands alone, it now displays without an awkward blank panel beside it – giving readers the clean, natural finish they’d expect from a real newspaper.
Clients will be migrated to our new Edition Reader throughout 2026. Updates to our Edition Reader are rolled out automatically
PS Mobile App
26.3.0
Focus: Tools to keep readers coming back, and to make their first experience with your app a great one.
Stay on Your Readers’ Homescreens – Your app can now become part of your readers’ daily routine with homescreen widgets for iOS and Android. Whether it’s top headlines, the latest edition cover, or a pinned section like “Photos of the Day,” your content is always one tap away – driving habitual engagement and deeper app usage.
Short-Form Video, the Way Audiences Expect It – You can now deliver vertical video content natively in the app, meeting readers where they are and matching the viewing habits shaped by today’s leading mobile platforms.
Help Readers Pick Up Where They Left Off – A new “Recently Viewed” section makes it effortless for readers to return to articles, editions, podcasts, and videos they’ve already started – reducing friction and encouraging deeper content consumption.
More Targeted Reader Communication – Building on the topic-based push notifications introduced in 26.2, you now have even broader coverage and more granular targeting options – helping you send the right message to the right audience at the right time.

PS Edition SDK
26.3.0
Focus: More ways to monetise your content, with improved performance and a consistent reader experience.
Help Readers Find What They’re Looking For – Built-in search is now available in the SDK, so readers using your embedded edition experience can quickly locate specific content across editions – reducing frustration and increasing time spent with your product.
Foster Reader Conversation – Full ‘Coral Commenting’ support is now integrated into the SDK, giving your readers a space to engage directly with edition articles. It’s a powerful way to build community and boost return visits.
A Consistent Experience Across Platforms – Android users now have the same content sorting options across all My Content screens as iOS — meaning your readers get a reliable, familiar experience regardless of their device.
Reliable Crossword Printing on Android – Readers who love your puzzles can now print crosswords from “Puzzles Plus” sections on Android without issues — a small fix that makes a real difference for your most loyal, engaged audience.
