Live news and eEditions, folded and unfolded
Apple’s first foldable iPhone is nearly here, and PageSuite apps are ready for it. Since the iPhone Duo was unveiled, we’ve been testing how live news and eEditions behave on both screens, folded and open.
One app, two screens
The Duo’s outer 5.4-inch display and 7.6-inch inner canvas share the same aspect ratio, so content scales cleanly when you fold or unfold. In our testing, a PageSuite test app moves seamlessly between the cover screen and the full inner display: the live news feed stayed readable in the hand, and the eEdition opened up when the device did.
Built for how readers actually use a foldable
Folded, the app works as a quick, one-handed news experience. Unfolded, readers get a larger canvas for editions and browsing. That matches how publishers already think about PageSuite: one product that can feel like a feed or like a finished edition, depending on the moment.
Ready when your readers are
iPhone Duo pre-orders open on 16 October, with devices on sale from 23 October. Clients using PageSuite’s native app don’t need a separate foldable build to take advantage of the new layout. The same app that serves today’s phones is ready for Duo’s two screens.
