26.6 June Product Release

Read more from our latest release – featuring a set of updates across the PageSuite platform designed to help you reach more readers, keep them engaged for longer, and manage your apps and eEditions with greater confidence…

NEW PS Edition Reader
26.6.0

Focus: Richer audio and reading experiences, smarter linking, and more control over how content is grouped, localised, and displayed.

  • New Audio Player – When you supply narrated audio files for your articles — complete with title, duration and artwork — readers get a proper audio player in place of their browser’s built-in text-to-speech. It also includes an article playlist option for a more polished listening experience.
  • Updated Launch Behaviour – Links can now open straight into a specific edition while still keeping the full archive easily reachable, so readers land exactly where you send them without losing access to your back catalogue.
  • More Language Support – We’ve added Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Afrikaans, so your reader interface can be fully localised for these markets.
  • Edition Display – Pages that don’t fill the screen in “Fit to Height” mode are now vertically centred for a tidier, more professional look.
  • Improved Deep Linking – Shortcode links can now jump straight to a specific section or publication — even through the login flow — so a shared link lands the reader exactly where it was meant to.
  • Publication Groups & Zoning – Publishers can now show or hide pub groups within a single archive rail, such as presenting the right local edition based on a reader’s zone, making the archive feel more relevant and less cluttered (requires client auth setup support).

Clients will be migrated to our new Edition Reader throughout 2026. Updates to our Edition Reader are rolled out automatically

PS Mobile App
26.6.0

Focus: More personalised content and a smoother, less cluttered reading experience.

  • Follow Authors – Readers can now follow individual authors and get a dedicated “Your Authors” feed tab showing the latest from writers they follow, giving them a reason to keep coming back for the voices they trust.
  • Smoother Article Reading – The navigation bar now hides automatically as the reader scrolls through an article and reappears on tap or swipe-up, keeping the focus on the content itself.

PS Edition SDK
26.6.0

Focus: A more unified reading experience across article and PDF pages, with smoother bookmarks and finer client customisation.

  • Consistent Reading Across Editions – When scrolling through articles in PDF editions, the navigation bar now automatically hides too, just as it does in the live news experience.
  • Improved Bookmarks – Bookmarks now open into the full edition reader when downloaded or online, instead of a standalone view, making it quicker for readers to pick up where they left off.
  • My Content – The empty-state icon on ‘My Content’ screens can now be customised per client, keeping even small in-app touches on-brand.
