26.2 | February Product Release

Lucy Penn

We are pleased to share details of our latest product updates from January’s release, which introduces a series of enhancements across the PageSuite platform. These updates are designed to support publishing workflows more effectively, with improvements focused on community engagement, cross-platform consistency, and reader experience.

NEW PS Edition Reader
26.2

Focus: Seamless data integration and a familiar, high-performance web experience.

Actionable Article Insights – We’ve enriched every analytics event with full article metadata, giving you complete flexibility when sharing data with your internal tracking providers. This deeper level of detail allows you to identify exactly which content topics and formats are delivering the most value.

Intuitive Search Filters – Help your readers find exactly what they need in seconds. Users can now toggle between “Pages” and “Articles” results on the search page, creating a faster, more frictionless discovery experience that encourages deeper exploration of your content.

Seamless Puzzle Engagement – Keep readers immersed in your edition with flexible modal and overlay views for puzzles. This update restores the familiar, uninterrupted navigation your loyal subscribers love while giving you the configuration options to ensure interactive content feels like a natural part of the reading journey.

Enhanced Multi-Page Printing – Give your readers more control over how they consume content offline. Our new reader now supports multi-page selection from a single print modal, restoring a highly-requested utility that improves overall user satisfaction and convenience.

Interactive Hotspot Tooltips – Improve content discoverability with new hover tooltips for article and link hotspots. This subtle visual cue guides readers toward interactive elements they might otherwise miss.

Refined Page Controls – We’ve repositioned the “Pages/Articles” buttons to provide a cleaner, less obstructed view of your content. This adjustment ensures a smoother, more intuitive transition for users migrating from the HTML5 reader, maintaining the premium feel of your digital publication.

Expanded Advertising Compatibility – We have introduced support for Media Tradecraft (MTC) to ensure your platform remains compatible with the latest industry platforms. This update provides you with greater flexibility in your advertising stack and more monetisation options.

PS Mobile App
26.1.0

Focus: Boosting retention through community and smarter user journeys.

Enhanced Community Engagement – We’ve integrated the latest Viafoura SDK across both iOS and Android, delivering a modern commenting interface with updated styling. Comments now support syndication within Kiosk apps, so readers can see all relevant conversations when switching between brands.

Smarter Subscription Flows (Viafoura) – Non-subscribers and logged-out users attempting to join a conversation are now directed to the appropriate Login or “My Account” screens. Subscribers without an account will see a dedicated “Subscriber Information” module, ensuring a smoother path to engagement.

Deeper Audience Intelligence (Viafoura) – New analytics events track when users open the commenting module and when they post comments, capturing dimensions such as article author, headline, and section to give you richer engagement insights.

Improved Newsfeed Curation – Ensure your most important stories stay front-and-center. While readers can customise their own feeds, our updated ‘pinned and locked topics’ feature – now complete with a clear padlock icon – allows you to fix key topics at the top of the list. This ensures your priority coverage remains visible and authoritative, regardless of user sorting.

Optimised App Performance – This update includes a suite of general bug fixes and stability improvements designed to ensure a faster, more reliable experience for your mobile audience, protecting your app store ratings and user retention.
