We were approached by Le Defi Media Group on Sunday 22nd March following a nationwide lockdown in Mauritius. They wanted to convert five printed newspapers into Digital Editions as quickly as possible, ensuring readers could still access the replica editions whilst unable to pick up their print copy.
Realising the urgency of this situation we reacted quickly and launched all five editions within 24 hours. Our support team work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and were therefore able to work with the client to ensure we completed this project as quickly as possible.
As well as launching the digital editions using our market-leading Replica solution, we also implemented a paywall and an integration with the Mauritius Commercial Bank. This enables readers to easily purchase a subscription in their local currency.
Readers can now easily access the digital editions via a landing page on defimedia.info
Le Defi Media is the most visited news site in Mauritius, providing essential news for residents across the country. It was therefore essential that they could continue to distribute their paper and keep their readers informed, even during a nationwide lockdown brought on by the COVID-19 outbreak.
