The London Evening Standard launched a new feed-driven app for iOS, Android and Kindle Fire devices utilising PageSuite Live. Their app takes selected editorial feeds from their website and streams them into customisable templates which are designed-for-device. Their daily edition is updated several times a day to bring readers the very latest news stories.
The Independent’s feed-driven app is currently available for iPad and Kindle Fire devices. It’s based on selected content feeds that are taken directly from their website and output into customisable templates. The Independent’s app features an interactive puzzles section, live weather feeds and social media integration.
Belfast Telegraph have a tablet app, currently available for iPad, which features live feed content, a horoscope section and a fully interactive puzzles section.
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH have a custom app for their magazine, ‘akzente’. The app displays content exclusively in landscape mode to offer readers an enhanced reading and viewing experience. With options to read in either German or English, content can be automatically downloaded and read offline.
The Philippine Star, the country’s largest and most successful ‘print media enterprise’ currently has a Digital Edition and a Dynamic App. Their Digital Edition can be viewed across desktop and mobile devices thanks to the HTML5 functionality and their Dynamic App can be downloaded to iOS, Android and Kindle Fire devices.
The Guardian Weekly
The Guardian Weekly is available as a Digital Edition which readers can subscribe to through the Guardian’s website. This weekly publication provides readers with the latest international news, politics, culture and a selection of articles from the Guardian. The edition is also HTML5 enabled which allows readers to access the latest content on their iPad or iPhone.
OK! Magazine is consistently in the top five within Newsstand on the iTunes App Store, it has also been regularly featured within the "New and Noteworthy" and "What’s Hot" sections. OK! Magazine is currently available on iTunes App Store, Google Play (Android), Amazon's Kindle Fire App Store, Windows 8/RT, Windows Phone 8, Barnes & Noble Nook, Google Play Magazines.
PageSuite has worked with Politico to develop their Infinity App and Digital Edition of the ‘POLITICO’ magazine. In order to reach a wider audience, the app is designed to work across iOS and Android devices, and the Digital Edition is HTML5 enabled allowing it to be read on phones and tablets, as well as desktop.
PageSuite has developed a number of Digital Editions and Custom Apps for various titles within the Johnston Press group, including The Scotsman, Yorkshire Post and Portsmouth News. Many of their apps have been designed to work across both iOS and Android devices to reach a wider audience.
PageSuite launched a Digital Edition and Custom App for Newsday which is designed to work across iOS and Android devices, enabling them to reach a wider audience. Readers can access breaking news bulletins, extensive regional news and interactive video and photo galleries. Newsday have an advanced subscription model that aims to maximise revenue across their Digital Editions and apps.
am New York
amNew York launched a Digital Edition with HTML5 functionality so that iPad and iPhone users can also access their daily content for free. They’ve also launched a Dynamic App for Android devices so that they can reach a wider audience. amNew York is Manhattan’s largest daily newspaper featuring breaking news, sports and lifestyle information.
British Airways’ High Life magazine is available as a Digital Edition and can be read across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. It features travel and holiday-related articles, celebrity interviews and full page adverts. High Life magazine is also available to download as an app to iOS devices.
Auto Trader UAE
PageSuite successfully launched Auto Trader-UAE’s Infinity app, enabling them to showcase their range of new and used cars to customers throughout the Gulf. Users are able to browse cars and bikes, read the latest automotive news and research car rentals. Their Infinity app can be downloaded to iOS and Android devices.
PageSuite’s first Live app was launched for Archant’s leading aviation title, Pilot Magazine. Their Live app enables readers to access the latest news, flight tests, travel articles, technical features and much more to inspire, inform and entertain. PageSuite have also launched many regional newspaper and specialist magazine Dynamic Apps for Archant which have been developed to work across iOS and Android.
Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC
PageSuite worked with Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC to launch an Infinity app for the publication ‘Euromoney Magazine’. The app is available to download onto iOS, Android and Kindle platforms and includes third party ad-server integrations.
Ulster Tatler, the No.1 social magazine in Northern Ireland, has recently launched a Dynamic App and a Digital Edition with HTML5 for mobile and tablet devices. Their apps have been developed for iOS, Android and Kindle Fire so that they can reach a wider audience.
Daily & Sunday Express are currently available through the iTunes App Store, Google Play (Android), Amazon's Kindle Fire App Store, Windows 8/RT, Windows Phone 8 and Barnes & Noble Nook. We have been launch partners with Samsung, HP and Microsoft specifically for all five Northern & Shell titles. Daily Express also features an interactive puzzles section within their iPhone and iPad apps. Daily & Sunday Express also use PageSuite for their online Digital Edition.
DC Thomson has launched a range of interactive Digital Editions for titles including My Weekly and The Sunday Post. They’ve also released a series of Dynamic Apps for iOS and Android devices for a range of publications including the ‘100% Official Dennis the Menace and Gnasher MEGAzine’.
We’ve launched a whole range of Digital Editions for publications within the Local World portfolio. Further to this we have also launched Dynamic Apps for publications including the Nottingham Post. The Nottingham Post app has Newsstand integration, featured advertisements and subscriber management functionality.
ITP Publishing Group
ITP Publishing have utilised our Custom App software to launch Construction Week across iOS devices. When in the app readers can scroll through archived editions of the Middle East’s largest construction and contracting portal as well as view other publications within the ITP Publishing Group. Readers are able to easily scroll through content, share editions and download articles so that they can be and accessed offline at a convenient time.
Newsquest have utilised our Dynamic App software to launch several apps for their regional newspapers and specialist magazines. Many of their apps, including The Northern Echo, have been developed to work across iOS, Android and Kindle Fire devices. Newsquest were the first regional newspaper group in the UK to make their titles available as apps across Kindle Fire devices.
Reed Business Information
Reed Business Information publishes a series of business magazines that hold market-leading positions in many sectors. They have launched a series of Digital Editions for titles including Airline Business and Flight International. These interactive Digital Editions feature the latest news and views from the aviation world and are available to view on desktop and tablet devices.
Greenways Publishing has launched a number of Digital Editions with HTML5 functionality and Dynamic Apps across their sporting titles. Their most recent launch was a Digital HTML5 Edition and Dynamic App for The Cricket Paper which brings readers the latest cricket news, reports and features. Greenways Publishing’s other titles include The Rugby Paper, The Non-League Paper and The Football Paper.
British Film Institute
Sight & Sound recently launched a Digital Edition and Dynamic App as part of their digital strategy. Their Dynamic App has been built for iOS, Android and Kindle Fire devices. Readers accessing either the Digital Edition or Dynamic App can access the latest news, interviews and analysis from the world of film. Users can sign up for a 1-month, 6-month or 12-month subscription.
Trinity Mirror plc
Trinity Mirror has launched a feed-driven app for The Birmingham Post using PageSuite Live. The app features selected article feeds which are pulled directly from the website and streamed into the customised interface. Users are also able to view the Digital Edition of The Birmingham Post within the PS Live app, this can be downloaded and viewed offline. Trinity Mirror also has a range of Digital Editions for a variety of publications including Manchester’s only weekly business magazine entitled Greater Manchester Business Week.
