Extending your reach

With an increasingly crowded tablet market, publishers can find it confusing to decide which devices to deliver their content through. PageSuite have the ideal solution, by allowing cross platform publishing with their new HTML5 reader. PageSuite first launched this solution this week with many clients using it to complement their iPhone and iPad applications, to reach readers through multiple devices and multiple platforms.

Benefits and Bonuses!

With PageSuite’s HTML5 solution, publishers can avoid the extra costs involved with having custom applications developed. Clients also escape paying Apple 30% of their subscription or application cost. The HTML5 solution does not involve long development and approval times, allowing content to be available cross device almost instantly. With this solution, publishers can distribute what they want, when they want, with the added bonus of not having to abide by any app store requirements. The HTML5 solution can integrate with publisher’s own subscription and data collection model.

Fantastic Features

Distributed via a link to the publication, readers can choose to read the edition online or download and save PDFs to their device, which can later be read through iBooks, without the need for internet connection. The HTML5 solution also allows for readers to search both current and old editions of the magazine or newspaper. Users can even save the publication to their homepage for quick and easy access to their favourite publications. New Launch Dynamic Apps Is Breaking The Publishing Mould

24/3/2011

Our Biggest Ever App Breakthrough – Dynamic Content Creation

PageSuite is developing a unique content delivery system, which allows interactive content such as videos and rich media to be simultaneously published across mobile apps and digital editions in an instant. Publishers can control branding, content and editions design from a live control panel, which can also launch advertising, subscriptions and data tools instantaneously.

Launch Premier Soon – Beta Previews Available Now

We are delighted to announce a series of unique opportunities to see our new pioneering Dynamic apps, currently in beta, before they are launched next month. Harness the power of digital and HTML5 content in customisable and revenue-generating apps, like never before by joining our webinar or booking a meeting.

What are the Real Benefits? Dynamic Apps USP’s.

Maximise our "on the fly" interactive features, by layering rich media and video editorial and advertisements throughout your edition. There is no longer a need for substantial downloads; readers can enjoy engaging content on the go, which publishers simply create in their existing PageSuite Precisionmedia tool.

No Need To Re-Submit – Add Features and Sub’s From Afar

Publishers can customise each apps layout and branding without having to re-submit to iTunes, whilst switching advertising and sponsorship is remotely controlled too. You can even choose which publications and editions you would like to display in your app and wrap subscription or data capture tools around your content.

Our Full Support – Enhancement and Training Plans

This future proof solution is perfect for publishers looking for the next level of interactivity and control, whilst retaining the ease and simplicity our automated software has always afforded.

Development timescales have been significantly reduced and full training is provided, so should this be of interest, make sure your Account Manager is aware, as future webinars and sessions will be available. We aim to make more specific tuition and guidance part of our support webinar series as this platform continues to grow and publishers test new strategies.

ABC and ABCe Merge – Positive Audit News?

21/3/2011

What is in a Re-Brand? Exciting Times Ahead?

Plenty of UK media outlets reported on the ABC and ABCe merger, which is potentially very interesting and positive news for a number of our publishing clients.

It could mean publishers will soon combine audience stats & circulation figures from both print and digital editions, including tablet & mobile apps, which means media buyers and advertisers pay for the, hopefully increased, combined figure. Web traffic will still be separate, which means for some types of tablet and mobile apps, the new merger won’t have much impact on their numbers.

Auditable Replica and Dynamic App Content

We’ve done some work with ABC and ABCe (now one) around which types of e-publication can be included… Reading into the release and available information, it seems likely that PDF replica and our Dynamic app (link to the above Dynamic Apps news story) style content can be included in any new combined metric because reading it is a pull action i.e. readers click to view. RSS style news could be counted on web traffic stats, because in the main it is a push action i.e. delivering content to the reader regardless.

Combination Apps – Best of Both Worlds

Theoretically, should publishers launch apps akin to New York Daily News, Washington Examiner and Daily Express, which all have both RSS and PDF, publishers theoretically could report on two types of circulations within one app… From a development perspective, implementing the auditing measures is likely to be with a Java tag, which would sit alongside integration with Google Analytics, Web Trends, Omniture or other stats tools.
